Unexpected opportunities of going remote
What a year this continues to be! With all of the buildup for 2020 being a year of "Vision," none of us could have envisioned this.
But here we are, evolving and working together every day. As a community.
I know this because we just had twelve inspiring leaders from eight different companies navigate this experience as a cohort during our Spring community program, which concluded last month (photo above). With our sixth community cohort in three years, I continue to be amazed by the power of growth-oriented leaders coming together to invest in themselves, their teams and make change.
Kudos to them and their organizations for investing in and choosing growth. The ripple effect of their work is being felt, especially during these unprecedented times.
There are many exciting things that have unfolded and continue to unfold for NextGen Center.
To start with, the Fall 2020 cohort of the Foundation for Effective Leadership program will be fully virtual.
And enrollment has begun.
The truth is that when we welcomed the first cohort in 2017, I didn't give much consideration to a virtual format. I knew firsthand that an in-person experience was both powerful and empowering and felt it was the most effective way to deliver transformational experiences, which is our focus at NextGen Center.
Fast forward to today. I've learned over the past four months that we all have to adapt -- myself included. Because the alternative is that important growth and development work doesn’t get done.
The pandemic has provided a unique opportunity for all of us to reevaluate how we do things. And for the professional space where we operate, how to deliver impactful development and training. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to see firsthand that virtual connection and transformation are possible.
So I'm excited to share that, for the first time, the Foundation for Effective Leadership program is open to anyone, anywhere. Which aligns perfectly with our goal to provide an accessible and impactful leadership community to emerging leaders.
The impact of the work has shown itself: Not only can it be done, but it can also be done well.

The need for this work is as important as ever. It will endure well beyond this challenging period. And what better time to invest in our future than right now?
